When and where do we shoot our portrait session?
Ideally, most outdoor sessions will take place in the evenings close to sunset for that yummy golden light. (Morning options are also available). We are blessed with so many beautiful locations in the East Bay and I can suggest where we should shoot based on the style/vibe you're looking for. I'm always open to new locations!
When and where do we shoot our newborn session?
Newborns are typically photographed within the first 3-14 days after they're born. I like to schedule our session while you're still pregnant (about a week from your due date) and then we can move our session if needed.
Newborn sessions typically take place in the late mornings in the comfort of your own home. I specialize in lifestyle newborn photography so we use your home as the backdrop with natural window light. Usually cuddled up on your bed, couch or that nursery you worked so hard on! Lifestyle newborn photography is focused on the connection and love between you and your family so I use minimal props and accessories. I'm happy to show a full gallery if you'd like to see more about lifestyle newborn photography.
(Outdoor newborn sessions are also an option in the evenings and are some of my favorites!)
What if I think my home isn't photo worthy?
I have SO many people say this and I've always been able to create a beautiful little section in their home. You don't need anything on your walls or extra decor. (I actually usually remove more things from your walls/beds for a clean backdrop) so less is more when it comes to my style! All I need is adequate window light and I'll do the rest!
When will I get my gallery back?
My turn-around time is about two weeks and you'll receive your digital online gallery ready for download. You are able to share your gallery with family and friends and save to multiple computers and iclouds for safe keeping.
Will you help us with wardrobe?
YES, absolutely! It's my favorite and makes a huge difference. I want your portraits to be timeless and on point! We'll chat more about this-but yes, always wear the hat ;)
What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept Paypal, Venmo, check or cash. 50% is due to officially reserve your date and the balance is due the day of your session.
